Canine Good Citizen or "CGC" is an American Kennel Club certification program that recognizes dogs for good behavior at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. The 10-step CGC test is a great goal to work toward with your pit bull and can help alleviate concerns of those unfamiliar with the breed, including land lords and insurance companies.
